Why the KidzAdherence Support Group?
For children and adolescents living with HIV, staying connected to treatment and care is essential. Without the right understanding and support, they may disengage from care, placing their health — and potentially their lives — at risk.
Without treatment, half of all children born with HIV will die by age two.
Yet fear, stigma, and a lack of child-friendly support mean many children are never told they have HIV — or why they need daily medication. Without understanding their diagnosis, they disengage from care, leading to missed treatment, serious illness, and preventable deaths.

Through engaging activities and trusted adult guidance — alongside support for caregivers every step of the way — children come to understand their diagnosis, take control of their health, and stay on the life-saving treatment that lets them grow up thriving and healthy.

Give TodayHow are the Matching Pool funds unlocked?
Every rand donated unlocks another rand from the Matching Pool, up to the full R50,000 available.
If the full R50,000 is not raised from donors, only the equivalent amount is unlocked from the Matching Pool. For example, if only R40,000 is donated, R40,000 is unlocked from the Matching Pool — meaning R80,000 in total goes to the KidzAdherence programme.
If donations go beyond R50,000, the additional amount will no longer be matched, but every extra rand will still go to KidzAdherence to help more children stay healthy and supported. For example, if R60,000 is donated, R50,000 is matched — meaning R110,000 in total goes to the programme.

Your donation will help fund KidzAdherence support groups, programme materials, trained facilitators and caregiver support.
